About The Owner
My name is Christina and music is my passion. A cellist of 26+ years, I am an active solo and chamber musician in the San Antonio area performing with several local ensembles and orchestras. I currently am a member of Sonido Barocco, Filigree, and Viatorum.
For over a decade, I've been a music educator with string programs in NISD, NEISD and Edgewood ISD at Longs Creek Elementary, Steubing Ranch Elementary, Behlau Elementary, Glenoaks Elementary, Blattman Elementary, Carnighan Elementary, Meadow Village Elementary, Brauchle Elementary, McAndrew Elementary, Gardendale Elementary and Winston Elementary. I've also been a mentor for the YOSA Más in Edgewood ISD, a program that directly reaches out to the community by providing string instruments and instruction in San Antonio’s west side of underprivileged children who may not otherwise have these opportunities.
Former principal teachers include Phyllis Kline (member of the Corpus Christi Symphony), Dan Zollars (former principal cellist of the San Antonio Symphony) and Christopher Parsons.
I hold my own private teaching studio of both cello and violin students.
